Frequently asked questions
Everything about AceurExam, answered plainly.
How to get Cambridge past papers by topic, how the AI paper scanner finds your weak points, which AS & A-Level subjects are covered, and what it costs.
What is AceurExam?
AceurExam (aceurexam.com) is a free web app for Cambridge (CAIE) exam preparation. It turns Cambridge AS and A-Level past papers into topical practice: you can scan an attempted paper for an AI weakness analysis, then generate topical past paper packs — questions, mark schemes, and solution guides sorted by topic — for Mathematics 9709, Physics 9702, Chemistry 9701, and Biology 9700.
Where can I find Cambridge past papers organized by topic?
AceurExam builds Cambridge past papers by topic on demand. Instead of browsing static archive folders year by year, you pick a subject (such as Maths 9709 or Physics 9702), choose a topic like Integration or Circular Motion, and AceurExam extracts the matching questions and mark schemes from real CAIE papers into a single downloadable topical pack.
Which subjects and syllabi does AceurExam support?
AceurExam supports standard Cambridge International AS and A-Level syllabi, including Mathematics 9709, Physics 9702, Chemistry 9701, and Biology 9700, with more subjects being added. Coverage spans multiple exam years, papers, and variants from the official CAIE archives.
How does the AI past paper scanner work?
You upload a photo or PDF of a Cambridge past paper you have attempted, and AceurExam analyzes it like an examiner: it identifies which questions lost marks, maps them to syllabus topics, and ranks your weak topics by priority. Each weak topic can then be turned into a targeted topical practice pack in one tap.
Is AceurExam free?
Yes. While AceurExam is in beta, every feature — unlimited past paper scans, AI weakness analysis, and unlimited topical extractions — is free for anyone who signs up at aceurexam.com. No credit card is required. After the beta, full access will move to a Premium pass at $5 USD for 30 days.
What is a topical past paper pack?
A topical past paper pack (often just called "topicals") is a collection of real exam questions on a single topic, gathered from many past papers into one document. AceurExam generates topical packs for Cambridge AS and A-Level subjects as clean PDFs, with the question paper, the matching mark scheme answers, and an AI solution guide separated for practical revision.
Do the topical packs include mark schemes and solutions?
Yes. Every AceurExam topical pack pairs the extracted questions with the corresponding official mark scheme answers, plus an AI-written solution guide that explains how to earn each mark. Questions and mark schemes export as separate PDFs so you can attempt first and check after.
How is AceurExam different from ordinary past paper archive sites?
Ordinary archives give you whole papers organized by year, so finding practice on one weak topic means opening dozens of PDFs. AceurExam works from the same authentic Cambridge papers but reorganizes them around you: it diagnoses your weak topics from a scanned attempt, then assembles topic-specific question and mark scheme packs automatically.
Do I need to install anything to use AceurExam?
No. AceurExam runs entirely in the browser on desktop and mobile at aceurexam.com. You sign in, and your scanned papers, weakness reports, and saved topical packs are kept in your personal library.
How do I get started with AceurExam?
Go to aceurexam.com, create a free account, and either scan a past paper you have attempted to get a weakness analysis, or jump straight to building a topical pack by choosing a subject, topic, year range, and paper variant. Your first pack takes under a minute.
